Six Qualities of Playful Hunters

Much has been written about what it takes to be a playful hunter. Ask 1000 hunters what they think are the necessary requirements to be a great hunter and you will probably get almost as many answers. However, there are some proven and real qualities that we believe are universal for playful hunters. It will not only help you succeed in this area; they will also get you a long way in other areas of your life as well. In these articles, we will consider the qualities that make playful hunters.
1. The first qualities of a playful hunter is to have a sense of humor: this attribute is often overlooked, but it certainly deserves to be on the list. A great hunter will remain optimistic, positive and can laugh at any mistake he makes. It seems that people who can relax and have fun are the ones who are successful.
Some people need this reminder a little more. For many of us, it's amazing to be outdoors and enjoy the beauty that of nature. Others will sometime take things too seriously. We get it, I agree you’re competitive, but don’t let a bad attitude ruin your season. Worse yet, do not let it ruin anyone else’s.
2. Another quality of a playful hunter is that he or she knows and understands the laws that apply to his or her hunting circumstances. Although it is not enough to know the law, you must obey it. Telling the game warden you do not know the laws are not an excuse to violate them. As a playful hunter, you must know the laws and respect them. Ignorance of the law is not a defense!
3. Next on the line is Honesty: This does not mean you have to tell everyone where you are hunting or how big that buck is that you have on trail camera. But we ask you to avoid over-exaggerating your stories.
4. Patience is another quality of a playful hunter: So, this is a fact. Even the best hunters can go through a dry spell or wind up eating tag soup brand at the end of the day. Be patient, have a plan, stay with it, and you will be in a much better position to succeed.
5. The habit of thinking about safety: many hunters get confused about it. The first goal of every hunt is not to bag a giant trophy. Instead, it’s simply to go back home to his or her family. Every hunt ends safely is a successful hunt. Practice shooting. Know your tools and equipment. Always make sure someone knows where you are and when to expect you back home.
6. Finally, Persistence: Why persistence when we have already covered patience? Although they are similar, there are some important differences. Where Perseverance is different for patients is when circumstances do not go in our direction. Persistence is that "stick to it" that gets us back up after a defeat or when facing difficult odds. It is often easier to be patient when you expect that big buck you are captured on camera. Persistence is missing that big buck and going back again and again, never giving up.
